" i was looking at these, and then looking some more, and still wasn't sure until i just went for it at the close of 2014 (gotta keep up premiere status and all). the proportion isn't quite ascertainable online. anyway, i was pleasantly surprised when i opened the box. got nervous for a second when i saw the scrunchy back (almost like a soft slingback made for a bootie). but my concern ended up being the perfect little touch with the offset in color. super comfortable and an attention grabber. handful of compliments. all in all, there is something very classic, almost like a riding bootie, which is what i suppose is, in fact, the modern twist. definitely a lacoste air about them. i'd recommend to anyone.

a little pricey? yeah, but if you like them aesthetically speaking, you'll be happy once you have them in your hands.

PS: to my fellow twiggy legged sisters, this bootie is great. i mentioned above i got nervous with the scrunchy back -- wasn't sure if i'd be swimming in them ankle wise. but alas, nothing to worry about. and to my sisters of any shape and size, the scrunchy back is what makes this bootie accommodating for all. "

sassy lil' gladiator

" these will pair nice with the olive green floor length patio dress i have. they are fun and definitely different. will garner some attention -- the kind you want. not too much, just a little something to spice up a simple outfit. def take the advice of previous posters -- order 1 whole size DOWN. i regularly wear a 9 and was comfortable in an 8. one poster mentioned the buckles not sitting right against her foot. i have very narrow feet and didn't have that problem. that's why i recommend ordering a full size down. "
