Simple black booties
" I keep going back to Nine West boots in spite of several encounters with poor quality workmanship that caused boots to wear out well before the winter season was over. Now, I'm not hard on my boots: I don't wear them in snow, rain, or hike the trail in them. I even work in a carpeted office. It makes me so sad to find a pair of boots that fit well, are the style that I love, only to have them wear out after less than 20 wearings.
So far, I think these booties may be the exception that has won me back. The heels are sturdy rubbery material (vs hard plastic covered with a thin film depicting a stacked wood heel), and the zippers work smoothly. The leather is supple, yet thick enough not to stretch out of shape. The buckle has all smooth edges, and doesn't catch on the hem of my pants.
Overall, I'm really pleased with my Nine West booties! Deducted one star for a scratchy spot inside the right ankle (repairable). "

Nice looking shoe - awkward sizing
" I bought these sneakers in 9.5 (my normal size). I loved the way they looked and how stable the sole is. The fit was good in the arch and heel, however my big toe touched the end of the shoe. I exchanged it for a 10, and now there's enough toe room, but the arch doesn't match up and the heel is too big. I'm so sad to have to return the second pair as well. I have three other pairs of Earth brand shoes and they all fit perfectly. "

Nice boot, but narrow
" I swore off Nine West after a bad experience awhile ago, but got tempted by these smart looking boots. I usually wear 9M but ordered 9.5W in order to wear warmer socks rather than thin hose. They arrived quicker than expected, and well packaged.
In real life, the toe is more pointed than "round", and wide is actually narrower than normal width. Those who need a wider width are going to be disappointed. I almost think they were mislabeled.
Also, the zippers don't have stops at the bottom where they're attached to the boot and if you zip them all the way down it's hard to get the teeth to line back up in order to zip them up.
They're not exactly painful to wear, but the sole of the shoe is very hard and not supportive at all. If you're on your feet a lot you'll need some sort of insole, although there may not be room because of the width issue.
The heels are very smart looking and made of hard material so they will click when you walk on hard surfaces. They can be a little slippery at first. I can't tell if the heel is made of actual wood block as the description says, or of plastic wrapped in wood-print film, as I have seen in the past with nine west boots. I hope it's real wood.
Regardless, they're really great looking booties and very versatile, so with the hope that they stretch a little, and that the zippers hold up, I'm going to keep them and hope for the best. "

Easy Spirit Deonna Review
" I wanted a pair of short boots to wear to work on casual day. These booties looked great online and the price was right so I ordered them.
They'll be going back for several reasons. I had ordered up a half size to wear thick socks, but the boot was so short that my toes reached the end. The heel and sole are made of soft rubber-like material - the stuff that tends wears away and leave the heels uneven and run-down. What looked like stitching is faux-stitching molded into the edge of the sole. The booties are also quite stiff, and while they might limber up with time and wear, it's just not enough to warrant keeping them.
Also, there is a very strong chemically smell to these booties. Sensitive noses beware. "

Mostly great bootie!
" Although the workmanship leaves a bit to be desired, I still really like these booties and I hope to wear them a lot this season. They have enough style to be trendy but still look appropriate in a conservative workplace. The stacked heel is made of very sturdy material, and is of a perfect mid-height to work with pants or a long skirt. About sizing - I normally wear a 9.5 medium, and I ordered a 10 wide to accommodate warmer socks later in the winter. They turned out to fit perfectly out of the box, so I suspect they run a little small in length AND width.
The one thing I don't like is the spot of sticky glue inside the left shoe near the toe area - it's sticky enough to make it hard to slide into, but not bad enough to exchange. I would have given them 5 stars if that spot of glue hadn't been there. Also, the shoes are slippery when walking on hard smooth surfaces, so walk with care until the heel and sole rough up a little. All in all, a nice boot for the price. "

Perfect Neutral
" These sandals are exceeding my expectations! The taupe color is a perfect neutral shade that goes with practically anything except red-browns. The style is just as versatile; they can be work-appropriate or casual depending on the outfit. At first I was concerned that the heel area would wear quickly, but after at least 15 wearings, I don't see any sign of the sole showing wear. It would be a 5 star shoe if it had any support. Unless you're on your feet all day, you really can't go wrong with these shoes! "

Love/hate
" I love the color of these shoes - it's a true taupe, not too brown and not too grey. The suede is beautiful and the style is trendy without being too "out there" for the office. I love the way they look on my feet - until I stand up and the peep toe pinches. Compared to my other peep-toe shoes, it looks as if the cut-out is placed closer to the outside of the shoe, which causes it to "bite" at the side of my big toe. Suede MIGHT stretch a little, but these are clearly one-season shoes so it's not worth the effort or pain. So sad!
As far as sizing goes, they seem to run about a half size small. I'm normally a 9, and needed a 9.5 with this shoe. The width is normal for a medium. Would have been very happy if the toe fit differently. "

Worth the price
" I love sandals, but need to keep them on the conservative side for work. Plus, I always appreciate a shoe with a little more support. Although I suspect these will be one-season sandals, for the price they more than fit the bill.
As mentioned in other reviews, the heel is wide. Fortunately, the rest of the shoe fits well, so even though my heel almost comes out of the shoe when I walk, the shoe doesn't actually come off. I'm experimenting with stick-on heel liners and it seems to be helping somewhat. I took off one star for having to make an adaptation to make the shoes wearable. Otherwise, they would have been a 5.
The patent-look at the heel is a snazzy touch that helps dress it up a little. The elastic is firm enough to have some give, but not so much that it becomes loose. The straps are close enough together to prevent that unsightly skin-poof that sometimes appears at the end of the day.
Hoping the snow and ice melts soon so I can wear these outside the house! "

Good high arched shoe
" Almost didn't get these due to premature wearing with another pair of J-41's (learned to stay away from their faux suede). I am very glad I took a chance on these shoes. The fit, like the first pair, is excellent, provided I sized up a half size. J-41's tend to run short in all the styles I've tried on. The arch support is built into the shoe from the sole to the lining. I have high arches and plantar fasciitis and find that this particular brand is very supportive, almost as if I'm wearing custom arch supports, but a lot more comfortable. The outer materials seem to be flexible and less brittle than my first pair, so I'm hoping they'll last longer. One more thing - these are also very comfortable to wear without socks! "

Beware Bendables
" At the time I purchased these, the description did not state that these Clarks are "Bendables". Although the bendables are fantastically comfortable from the first wearing, I avoid the line because of repeated bad experiences - the shoe separates from the sole very quickly AND the heels appear to be hollow and will crack after only moderate wear. I haven't had these problems with other Clarks shoes, just the bendables. Unfortunately, I purchased these as a gift and didn't know they were the bad Clarks until after they were given away. "

Just what I needed
" These shoes are perfect for a business professional office. The fit is a little loose, which will be great when it's a little colder out and I can wear a thicker knee socks rather than thin trouser socks. The brown is darker than it looks online. The heels and soles seem to be made of less-dense material than in my older Clarks so they'll probably wear quickly. I'll be sad when these start to show wear, which I suspect will be after only one season. "

On the fence with these
" On the one hand, the patent pleather is cute, and the insole is better than average, especially if you're looking for a little arch support. And they're fairly comfortable out of the box - will need very little break-in. On the other hand, the heel cup is about 1/2 inch shorter than the Clarks I purchased at the same time. In other words, the back of the heel doesn't come up as far as I'm used it. It feels (and looks) a little odd. I was hoping these could be worn to work with jeans on casual day, but they look too much like rain shoes for that. On yet another hand, we've had a lot of rain lately, so maybe I WILL keep them! "

Toe cleavage alert!
" These Soft Spots look to be better made than some I've tried in the past, and they ARE cute! The perforated leather uppers make it a perfect summer shoe. The fit was even good...except for the toe area. Although I love the look of a peep toe, I often find that they are too tight across the outside of my big toe, as it was with this shoe. With the perforations, I figured it would have a little give after I wore it awhile...then I noticed the toe cleavage. Not a lot, but enough to make me uncomfortable. All in all, I think someone who is used to wearing a more pointed toe might like these shoes. The sale price is outstanding. "

Sporty weekend shoes
" I rely on Clarks for comfortable, classic work shoes, but I'd never tried their Privo line, which seems more sporty and casual.
The fit is pretty much the same as for regular Clarks, although after a few weeks of wear I'm starting to think there might be a little less support in the arch area. I'm also watching the heels closely for wear, as a co-worker told me she had experienced unusually fast heel wearing on a new pair of Privos.
Overall, these shoes keep my feet cool and my toes protected, and I'm happy with them. "

Nice shoe - odd fit
" Propet is one of the brands that I feel safe ordering online because the sizing and fit is consistent. I was so sure I was going to love these shoes, but sadly, it didn't work out between us.
The shoes are made of an airy mesh and feature well-placed "windows", which would have made them great for folks who like well ventilated shoes. The tread seems grippy, and not at all awkward, like some shoes with unusual tread patterns can be. The color (light blue with gray) is versatile and subdued. Overall, the appearance is in-line with other Propet shoes in this line.
I wear a 9.5 in this brand, and compared to other Propet shoes in my closet, they are a slight bit shorter than older 9.5's. Not enough for me to size up, though. The heel fits true, but the mid-shoe is tight and the insole presses uncomfortably into my arch. The area from mid-foot to toes has plenty of room - so much room that the front part of my shoe slid around.
I played around with the stretchy cord that is meant to adjust the shoe, but there doesn't seem to be a way to tighten the toe area without tightening the arch area as well.
I returned these shoes to the store, where I learned that if you use reward certificates on an online purchase that is returned to the store, that you forfeit those certificates. So I'm twice as sad now. "

J-41 Stylus
" All the hype about this being a Jeep approved product aside, this seems to be a good basic cold-weather shoe with regard to warmth and traction. There is conflicting information as to exactly what the upper material is - the tag says "textile", DSW says it's a suede upper.
On the plus side, the issue with the insole not going all the way to the edge of the shoe seems to be resolved and it's much more comfortable than the earlier styles are. I find the shape of these shoes to be very comfortable for my high arches.
For the price, I expected the uppers on this shoe to be waterproofed. Whatever it's made of (textile or suede), the uppers stain when they get wet. Be sure to use a good waterproofing spray to avoid this problem. "

Ugly, but comfy
" These shoes aren't particularly well-made (loose threads, bulky seams, mismatched corners), but they're the best casual shoes I've found for high arches! Normally my orthotics only fit in oxfords or old fashioned "sneaker" type shoes. But with this shoe, the built in arch is so high and firm that I don't need to wear the orthotics! The aren't showing much wear yet (cumulative wear is probably 7-8 days total), and I'm hoping they'll last the summer. If you buy these, keep a lint brush handy - the fabric is an animal hair magnet! The workmanship of these shoes is more like 2 stars, but I gave it 4 stars because it's nice to find comfortable slip on shoes suitable for my high arched feet. "

The incredible growing slipper!
" I've had these slippers for about a year. When I put them on for the first time, they were very snug...almost uncomfortably so. However, as the fleece inside the slipper compacted to fit my foot the slipper "grew" to fit my foot perfectly. It took a few wearings to accomplish this.
After a year they're holding up much better than the other boxed slippers I've tried. They were also quite warm last winter, yet I've worn them throughout the summer without my feet getting too hot. Maybe the fleece helps air to circulate? One disadvantage though, they attract dog hair like crazy (not so smart, Smartdog people!), but it vacuums off easily.
I'd never spent $35 on a pair of slippers before, but they have proven to be a good value and I'll probably buy another pair of Smartdogs when these wear out. "
