Back strap not adjustable
" Not much leather on these (it's a combination of fabric and leather), although still nice. I thought these were comfortable and cute, but with one minor issue. The back strap isn't adjustable and doesn't have any elastic in it either, so it didn't provide any support and was loose. Too bad because I liked them otherwise.

Cute sandal, but not for wide feet
" I wanted to love these and think they look nice, but for my wide foot, these were not a good fit. The foot bed just isn't wide enough at the top, and the upper strap seems to be positioned a little high. If you have a wide foot, I would pass on these.

Was hoping for more

" Good quality, distressed oiled leather, nice sole and well made. However, for me they were not only snug in width, but also in length, which is why I tend to order up a 1/2 size in boots. I also have what I consider to be a wide foot. Size I ordered was 8 if that matters.
Now, maybe I don't understand the concept of the bootie, but I prefer shorter, zip up boots to be fairly snug around the ankle. These are not and had a pretty large gap in the front. Even if these had fit properly, that gap probably would have been a deal breaker for me. Too bad because they are otherwise nice. Lastly, I had to choose yes or no for the recommendation (it's required for review), and I put no, but only based on what I did not like. If I were basing this solely on quality, I would say yes.

Better than expected
" Went into the store to return some boots I had purchased online (return was painless, and they said they would still honor the $20 off coupon I had used on the original online order). I know this info. is irrelevant, but just want to emphasize that I found this to be generous. They didn't have what I went in for, but these boots caught my attention. I wanted brown, but they only had 8W, which I thought would be fine since I consider my hoof (lol) to be wide. The wide, however, seemed to be wider from heel to toe, as in my heel was really slipping. It was not good.
At any rate, I tried the 8M in black, and it felt surprisingly good. I ended up buying them and wore them for several hours yesterday, with very little discomfort. They are definitely warm, and I think once they stretch a bit they will be even more comfortable. Overall it is stylish, reasonably priced, and I am satisfied with my purchase. I just might have to order these in brown too!
