" Wanted a boot that offered style and substance; what a great disappointment. I bought the *first* pair after reading reviews that they were amazingly comfortable and very warm. I work part time as a filmmaker, 12 hour days, any weather, year round, in the northwest.
Wore them around the house, took a couple of walks around the neighborhood. They did well. Got to the film set, and by 4 hours in the lining was beginning to pull up on one of the boots. By 8 hours the lining had pulled up on both the boots, about half way on one and a third on the other. By the end of the 12 hour day the lining had completely pulled out of one, and was most of the way detached in the other. I had no back-up boots. Had to wear these all day.
Even after that terrible performance, I decided to trade them in for a new pair, thinking this must have been a bad pair-never have I ever destroyed shoes in a day, ever- and to be fair, it was a particularly rough day. Took time off of my day job to get the *second* pair. My day job is primarily secretarial/sitting, with a majority of the walking being about a half mile each way to and from the nearest parking. Before I even started on my walk home the lining was AGAIN pulling off the bottom, about a third undone.
These are horrible shoes. Look at them sideways and they will disintegrate. I will never buy another Bare Traps product if my life depended on it. Spare yourself.
