A good shoe to preserve your better shoes

" I have two thoughts on shoes, you should have high quality pairs and then good quality-low cost options suitable for daily wear to preserve your more expensive investments.

I picked up a pair of Original Penguin Leather Cap Toe Oxfords for daily wear and they have impressed me thus far. The quality of leather is not anywhere near a higher end shoe and it has a synthetic sole, both pretty normal in this price range. So go into your purchase knowing that, it's not a high end shoe or a super low end shoe.

However, this is a very comfortable shoe that looks sharp yet relaxed. The detailing is very nice and the tone of brown is a nice dark-worn chocolate. Not too dark and not too light. The laces are a nice waxed gray-brown that look perfect.

The sizing is very true. The shoe design does have a cap toe so it comes to a rounded point, which depending on your individual size, may cause you to move up a size as the shoe does become slightly narrow towards the front. My experience is, they felt a little tight in the store which almost made me grab a size above my usual, but I held off and within a few hours of wear they opened right up and now fit perfectly.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this shoe to anyone on a budget or that needs a weekday warrior. It's an unbelievable comfortable shoe and has a great classic look that will compliment many pieces of wardrobe from casual to dress. "
