cute boot, runs SMALL

" So I ordered this boot because it was cute, and waterproof. After reading the reviews, I ordered a 7M. My foot is normally a 6-6.5, depending on the shoe and I have normal to slightly thick calves. The 7M is SNUG...foot, calves, everywhere. To the point where I think I'm going to have to go up to a 7.5 and there is not a single pair of shoes or boots in my closet that are a 7.5 so whoever sized these was just having a bad day.

Other than that, the boots are cute. They rise to just below the knee on me. They're not warm at all, so be advised (makes the sizing issue even more unfortunate since you can't wear thick socks). They're a bit stiff but I'm hoping that just requires breaking them in. The leather is ok, I think the slightly plasticy look that other people have mentioned comes with the waterproofing, as I've had a few waterproof leathers with the same look.

Would I recommend this to a friend? I think so. But definitely best to try it on in stores and not order online. "
