Beware the zipper!

" As other reviewers mentioned, these boots have zipper problems.
The first one went on, no problem. The second one was stiff and caught in a couple of places. Then, when I stood up, the zipper burst open mid-calf, still zipped at the top and bottom. It took me a long time to get out of that boot with the broken zipper.
Please note, they were not tight, and this was the very first time I put them on.

Eye Catching
" Every time I wear these shoes, I get tons of compliments. In fact, I have purchased two more tops in this color pink just to have more opportunities to wear them. As with most Maddens, the area around the outside toe is very tight. However, I have professional shoe stretching equipment and always stretch my Maddens prior to wearing. Walking and wearing them all day is very easy.

Beware the Sparkle
" When I received these, the color was very different than it appears on the site. The purple part of this shoe is very shimmery. In fact, it was so shimmery, I felt it was inappropriate to wear with my business clothes, so I returned them.

Surprisingly Uncomfortable
" I bought these to be a comfy, casual shoe, but still more stylish than a flip flop. As other reviewers have noted with this brand lately, the Steve Madden toe box seems to be too tall. The result is that the foot slides in the shoe, which causes the foot to rub on the canvas, which is quite uncomfortable by the end of the day. These were far less comfortable that the much less expensive and taller Old Navy espadrilles I bought these to replace.

Good for the price
" Obviously, these aren't real leather, and, as such they are a bit baggy around the ankle. For such a high heel, it is very sturdy and comfortable. I went up half a size to accomodate thick socks during cold weather, but they are still very snug through the arch of my foot.
