On the fence
" I am really on the fence about these boots. I read all the great reviews and thought I may have found the perfect riding boots in these. Sadly, I'm mistaken.
Ok, first the pros.... I love the leather. Others may have complained about it being stiff and not supple. However, this type of leather is really strong and thick. Even the inside part is leather; not lined with cheap synthetic cloth material. (If you want a softer feel, get the suede version, which I am also deciding on whether or not to keep.) The foot area/toe box is very sturdy as it seems to be molded, therefore hard. But this doesn't make the boots any less comfortable. I would recommend getting your normal size as these run true to size. Note: there will be room at the toe area because these kind of point out. They are comfortable to walk in and they are easy to get in and out of even with jeans.
Now the cons... I'm 5'4", 118 lbs., with a 14" calf circumference. I love the back cutout as it makes it easy to bend the knees/sit. BUT, the front part just touches the bottom part of my knee caps. I wish they were a bit lower by at least 1/2" because it digs right into my kneecap. Really uncomfortable. (Check out my review for the suede version to see an idea of where the top of the shaft hits my knees.) "

Great from the first wear
" I ordered these boots without seeing them, and loved them the moment they arrived. The first time I wore them was for a day in NYC, I was a little nervous, but, we walked around all day and they were surprisingly comfortable from the get go! I loved the brown color online, but I already have a few pairs of brown boots, so I got the black. I am 5'3'' and they go up just at my knee, they are very tall, but with pants you can't tell. "

AMAZING boots
" These boots are awesome. So adorable and will go with everything. The shaft is a little long in the front of the boot so that the top hits the bottom of my knee, but it's not a big enough deal to not wear them - and with stocking or tights I won't even notice. "

Fashionable riding boots!
" These are beautiful boots and I am glad I got them. They go well with most outfits, e.g. skinny jeans, tights. Overall, these are worth the price, very comfortable and stylish!
Color: I ordered them in a brown, and their color is fairly accurately portrayed in the picture.
Sizing: I ordered a size 6 (which is what I usually order) and they fit exactly to size.
Height: They hit right at the end of the knee for me. I am 5'3" and 120 lbs.
Width: It's tight at the top of the boot (where the top buckle is located) and the elastic band that's there doesn't do anything to alleviate the tight fit. The elastic band seems purely cosmetic to me since it's the leather right below it that causes it to be tight. I'm fairly petite but I have a bit of a "stocky calf, skinny ankle" thing going on. They fit well enough that I can slip most of my leg through them, but I feel they could go up about half an inch more. The zipper bulges slightly since the boot doesn't go up as far as it should on my legs. Not anything that makes me want to return then, but I'd be wary if you have muscular calves or a stockier build.
Quality: Leather isn't the best, it's not very soft or supple as another reviewer mentioned. I'm probably going to wear them through the fall and avoid wearing them in the winter because I don't think they'd do well with the snowy conditions. "
