Don't buy
"I went against my better judgment and I ordered these boots despite the negative reviews. I usually don't buy boots that cost more than $100. I'm cheap, period. But these boots are the cheapest looking boots I've ever seen and they are so uncomfortable that as soon as I stuffed my foot in them I took them right back out. Do not buy these!"

Looks nice, but cheap
"I purchased these boots in July, and debated for quite some time if I should keep them or not, becuase they just looked cheap. The leather seemed stiff and shiny, and I was overall unimpressed. I loved the shape and style, however, so I ended up keeping them.
What a mistake -- after wearing them for less than 3 months, one of the heels fell off! Overall, I am very dissappointed with these boots. They may look good at first, but the quality is just not up to par."

"Even with the wide calf, these boots were too narrow for my athletic calves. The base of the boot was narrow as well. These were not very comfortable, so I had to return them. The style was very cute however, and I liked the cognac color."

"I love these boots. They are so comfortable and the most beautiful shade of brown!! I have very small feet (size 5) but decided to go with a 5.5 just so that I can have a little more room. I do think that these boots make my feet look a little bigger than what they are but thats fine! Get it, you wont regret it!"

DO NOT
"I was super excited when I got these boots, but unfortunately when I tried them on they did not zip over my calves whatsoever. It was super disappointing. They are very pretty, but NOT WIDE CALF. My calf's aren't huge but they are bigger and these did not fit at all. I would recommend the Audrey Brooke line of wide calf boots. they fit wide calves extremely well with room to spare!"

"I love these shoes! They were perfectly tan leather, super comfortable, and altogether gorgeous! I did size up per the reviews, and found that sizing up was helpful. The wide calf was necessary for me to accommodate my athletic calves, the regular would have been too narrow. The boot was really pretty and I'm so glad I got it!"

Cute but NOT wide calf.
"I really wanted to love these boots. They're a great color and really pretty sitting in the box! However, I have very muscular calves and the wide calf extra elastic only seems to extend the very top part of the boot, meaning I couldn't get the middle part of the boot zipped up. The quality is really good though, and the bottom part fit quite comfortably. I guess I'll have to continue my search for boots that are actually wide calf..."

"Love them. The color is perfect to rock out with either black or brown. However, they are a bit narrow. But to finally find a boot that fits over my calves is awesome. Hopefully they will stretch out a bit throughout the foot since they are real leather."

"These boots looked great in the picture but when they came, they looked a little cheap. I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 but I ordered a 10 so there would be more room in the calf and they were extremely tight on my toes. They also didn't fit in the calf (but I have monster calves). Overall even if they had fit I would have returned them because they were very stiff and didn't feel comfortable at all. Too bad."

Not true to size
"I have a huge issue with wide calf shoes that make their actual shoe size 2+ sizes smaller than listed. I wear 9.5/10 most days, and at times I wear size 9. I got these in size 10 online thinking that a riding boot should fit fine. Also, I was looking forward to a pair of boots that would look good and I could zip up over my calves.
These are not it. I couldn't get my foot all the way into these boots!!!! (I guess that is the danger of ordering online)
Even my roommate that wears 7.5/8 couldn't get her foot in without some struggle!
I would imagine that a shoe should probably be near the size that is printed and not at least 2 sizes smaller.
Obviously, these are getting returned."

Gorgeous boots
"These boots are absolutely gorgeous, I purchased the dark brown as I was a bit weary about the cognac, as I have noticed some cognac boots are more orange than anything. If anybody has the cognac a picture or description of the colour would be fantastic! I have large calves and I decided to take a chance on these boots as my feet are a size 12, and the larger size you go, the bigger the calf circumference gets. They just size up, and I mean JUST. If gain any weight then they will probably not fit anymore. The foot is narrow, but with thin socks this should not be a problem. It would be a good idea for DSW to post a chart with the shoe size and corresponding calf circumference (since the circumference goes up as the shoe size does) so customers will know if the boot will fit around their calf."

Classic and Stylish
"I usually never take the time to write a review about a product, but after searching the ENTIRE (and I mean entire) web for a good pair of classy boots that would go with everything, were big enough in the calves, and the right price I came across these and felt I should leave a review.
SIZE: After reading many of the reviews on DSW that said to order about a whole size bigger because these run small, I went ahead and ordered a 6.5. I typically wear a 5.5/6 so I figured this should be plenty big. Well, they were. They are almost too big. I suggest order a .5 size bigger at the most! I have a pair of pull on boots in a 6.5 and they fit perfect, but these in a 6.5 are rather big. I'm not returning for .5 a size because with thick boot socks they are perfect. Hopefully they don't stretch too much in the ankle area.
COLOR: I debated this for the longest time. I really wanted a nice pair of dark brown leather boots, but I also wanted the cognac color becasue I feel like it goes better with black and I wear lots of black leggings. I went ahead and ordered the Cognac and that was a good choice. It's a beautiful color.
CALF: I have athletic calves because I was a figure skater. I have always had the HARDEST time finding boots with a big enough calf that allows me to walk, be comfortable, and tuck in jeans or leggings and socks. I went ahead and ordered the wide calf. It is a bit wider than I imagined- even with jeans tucked in... I can still get a bit of my hand in the boots. I figure that's okay though becasue the regular ones probably wouldn't have allowed jeans in and been able to zip the boots.
QUALITY: These boots are a great quality. The leather smells wonderful, and it's a good quality The boots are gorgeous. So simple and perfect for everyday wear (dress up or casual). I don't think you'll be disappointed in the quality.
OVERALL: Great boots for a way great price. The Cognac is beautiful, I still want to get some dark brown ones though. Perhaps the same style. The wide calf is definitly wide enough for athletic and musclar calves. Order your normal size, maybe .5 a size bigger if you feel like you want to... just know you'll be wearing a thick sock with them."

Was hoping to be perfect.
"I've been waiting to buy these shoes for a long time. I had bought a riding boot before but it wasn't wide enough. When I saw these I thought it would be perfect. Unfortunately it wasn't wide enough for my leg. But that's not the boot's fault. Another problem was that I saw it ran narrow so I bought a slightly bigger size and it made my feet look huge. If I would have bought a smaller size my foot wouldn't have been able to fit. The shoes had to be returned."
