Beautiful boots, wider shaft than advertised
" These are gorgeous boots--beautiful leather, classic and elegant shape and some fun details like the buckles and crisscross straps across the ankle. However, the shaft circumference is definitely wider than advertised. (Are they really vanity sizing shoes now??) My calves are pretty normal--neither wide nor narrow--and there's clearly a wide gap between my calf and the boot. There's no way the circumference on this boot shaft is only 14 inches. They are also taller than most riding boots. I'm 5'3" and they almost dig into my kneecap. But personally, I think the extra length looks elegant. "

Great boots but too wide
" These boots are very comfortable. The heel is a great height for walking, and the leather feels soft. BUT I had to return them because the shaft is too wide for my calf. I would consider my legs average- not really thin, but not at all wide. "
