Finally found a great boot
"I have been on the search for a cute tall boot and have gone through every imaginable option. THEN i found these boots. I ordered them online and they are a perfect fit. They are a little tight in the calf,but i have very muscular calves. I love these boots. They are comfy and go along with lots of different outfits. I highly recommend them !"

3 months later and show more wear than they should
"I bought these boots in late November. These boots came to me in good shape and mostly true to picture and description except that there were many variations in the dye on individual pieces that were sewn together, also that the ruffles on the left boot don't sit right (sewed too tight) so they look like they have been ironed. I've worn them often to work but not outside for walking very much so the heel should NOT be wearing down the way that it is after a few months. I bought the brown (I believe it was called tawny?)The color has faded SUBSTANTIALLY so that it looks ashy almost, not nearly as rich as they were just a few months ago. They could use some oil and a good polish and I'm sure they can bounce back. When all is said and done, I do love the style of the boot but they are made of very thin leather and soft rubber boot heel, not great workmanship at all. They look like a beat up pair of old boots only two months later :("

Not so great
"I loved these when I first got them. I need boots I can wear everyday, and these are not them. I have worn them almost everyday for about 5 months, and the heel is pretty much gone. The soles wore away so quickly and unevenly. Today, one of the soles cracked and now I have a puddle in my shoe. The "block heel" is synthetic and squishy. It is not solid inside, and as the sole wore away, so did the heel. They are also made of the thinnest leather I have ever seen. Bottom line, these are very cute, but poorly made. If you are just buying them for looks, go for it! But, if you need boots that will last, these aren't what you are looking for. I wish I'd saved the money I spent on these and bought a better, perhaps more expensive pair."

Very conflicted
"I am very conflicted. I love the look of this boot. I didn't want a boring riding boot, and the ruffles combined with the combat style make for a very unique and visually appealing boot. Now for the cons...the leather is not of very high quality, and it is very thin (I am not usually picky about this, but these just feel cheap). The fit is not ideal. They run long in the foot area but very narrow in the calf (I have average calves and have never had a problem). I could barely zip these up the first time. They have stretched out and are fine now, but it is still hard to wear anything except a true skinny jean with them. They are also hard in the heel and toe areas. So...I wouldn't necessary recommend them but I couldn't bring myself to send these back because I liked the look."

Crown Vintage Tawny Riding Boot
"Although the style is very cute, they are not as nice as a full leather boot. The upper and the ruffle seem rather flimsy. They are not cheap looking, just not high quality like a Steve Madden leather boot."

"These are adorable and fit to size perfectly (although it's a bit snug getting my heel in, but once on they're quite comfy). They look like they would be at home while riding a horse."

CHEAP grade of leather
"I give it one star for style (and because you HAVE to give it one star to review it)
Sooooo disappointed in these boots. I was really hoping they would be "The Ones" but alas, they are going back. First off, the leather they use is the cheapest grade of real leather available. It's really thin and won't last long in the looks dept. Second, no matter how much I loosened the laces, I could NOT get my foot into the boot. I have an average to narrow foot, and I was afraid I'd rip the boot if I tried to get into it. Sooo not worth even the sale price. I have faux leather boots that are better made than these."

Super cute but no grip!
"This boot is absolutely adorable. the ruffle detailing gives it a feminine and unique take on the otherwise boring riding boot. That being said, there is absolutely no texture to the sole. I was sliding around the house in these, even on the carpeted areas. I would not even dream about wearing them out in the snow as I would surely slip and fall. I plan to bring them to a cobler to see if something can be done.
Otherwise, great boots. Seem to be quality made and while they are a little on the wide side, I would say they run true to size. Very comfortable!

"When I first saw these boots, they reminded me of a pair of $260 anthropologie boots, which I had been eyeballing. I loved the look and I love this price. I was looking for a feminine pair of riding boots. I didn’t want any buckles (didn’t want to look like a biker chick) and I didn’t want a heel. These were perfect. Having slim legs I don’t like floppy saggy boots, and these are not. I usually wear a size 8.5 or 9, I had to get these in a 9, at 8.5 they were a little snug and not so easy to get on (slightly narrow). I’m very happy with my purchase!"
