" The leather is good quality. The boots are very comfortable overall and can be used as all-day boots.
The measurements given by DSW are *very* wrong, however. The boots are wide-calf. Size 7.5-8 have 15.5 - 16" (not 14" as given in the description) circumference.If you have standard or thin calves, and if you intend to wear the boots with tights and leggings, keep in mind that your legs may look a little funny in these boots. If you were them with thick jeans and winter pants, you'll be fine.

huge disappointment
" Extremely low quality, very thin shaft, no lining. The calf circumference was 2" bigger than the number given in the boots description, on top of everything. The boots are basically made for humongous calves, but not listed as wide-calf size. First bad experience with a DSW purchase for me, though, so it's OK...

What a treat!
" I was a bit pessimistic when I bought these boots. They sure looked beautiful and comfy, but since I never buy boots made of man-made materials, I thought they could be a big wash-out. Well, trust me, I was wrong! These are made of high quality felt fabric -- super strong, and durable. The footbed is a dream, and the shaft is perfectly contoured around the calf. I wear these boots all the time and will never destroy them or get tired of them! What an amazing deal...

The ultimate leggings boot!
" Absolutely gorgeous with tights and leggings -- the leather is perfect -- not too hard/stiff, not too slouchy, not too tight and not too baggy. The boots are extremely comfortable too -- my feet love them. I can run around town all day in these boots. Have been wearing them all winter and never got tired of them!

Not well thought-out
" These boots could have been great, had the leather and the soles not been so thin and flimsy... They leather is so slouchy that it falls down to your ankles after a couple steps. I bought a pair and thought that it was simply defective (in addition to the super slouchy leather, there *were* defects around the toes) -- returned it and bought another one and that one was exactly the same as the first one... Pretty disappointing because the boots look gorgeous and really comfortable.

Style and quality!
" Simply stunning! I think these are the coolest boots I've purchased for the last several years! Super stylish, unique design. Excellent ergonomic fit. Light weight, form fitting. The leather is top quality. Just perfect. Wish they had them in black too. I can't see this boot anywhere in the stores, I am so glad I bought my pair before they disappeared!

Universal!
" Amazing boots, suitable for pretty much any type of clothing. Can be dressed up or down. Great for walking around all day -- super comfortable and light! The elastic band at the opening of the boot ensures perfect fit -- my calves are not very wide, so this band works miracles. I can wear these with jeans, with leggings, with tights and skirts, really everything. DSW had these in three different colors and I bought one of each -- these colors pretty much cover my entire wardrobe!

fantastic walking shoes!
" This must be the best pair of walking shoes I've ever owned. Superb support and balance, excellent cushioning. Breathing uppers -- my feet never get too sweaty. The leather is really nice and high quality (nubuck type) -- the shoes look fabulous with any casual outfit. Wish I bought a spare pair -- I can't find these anywhere in the stores now.

Favorite flip-flop!
" Super comfortable flip-flops! The sole is thick and springy -- provides excellent support. The straps are strong and hold the slipper in place like no other flip-flop I've had. The piece of the strap that goes between the toes is the perfect thickness -- not too thick to apply pressure and cause pain, and not too thin to slide around a tear fast. Last but not least, they look great on your foot!

OK -- not the best, not the worst
" I was very excited about these boots when I ordered them, but then got a bit disappointed when they arrived. Don't take me wrong, they are good casual boots, comfortable for longer walks, warm... There are just some not-so critical issues with the finishing touches that make the boots look a bit cheap. E.g. the faux fur doesn't look and feel very good (generates tons of static, for one) . Also, the foot is a bit on the short side -- about a half size shorter, if you wear a thick-ish sock... All in all, not too bad, but you can definitely find a much better casual boot for this price.

Did they use a different metric system?!?!
" After reading the reviews left by other customers, I figured it would be wise to order one size larger than my usual size. That was a clever move, to be sure. I have a very narrow foot and, when I have the choice, I buy 'narrow', not 'medium'. These boots not only are a size shorter, but they are incredibly tight. Not so much narrow as measured from side to side of the foot -- they are simply 'squished' in the sense that there is absolutely no 'wiggle' room for up and down motion of the foot. The boots look great and I believe I'll be able to widen them a bit (there are some tricks you can use, like wearing the boots around the house with your wet socks on! :) ). So I am not going to return them, but beware, if you intend to buy these boots, shoot for at least 1 size up. They don't come in half-sizes, so you don't have the option to go 1.5 size up, which would be ideal for me. You should go 2 sizes up if your foot is on the wide and thick side... I can say that the shaft of the boot fits beautifully and is very comfortable. They've only messed up the foot, somehow... Sorry about making my review sound like a user guide, I just want to be helpful! :)

Everyday walking boot with style!
" Fantastic work by Matisse, as always! I was expecting these boots to be a bit heavy, but they are not! They are slip-ons, and with slip-ons the problem is that they're normally either too tight to slip on or way too wide and clumsy. Well, this boot is most definitely an exception -- the shape and width of the shaft are absolutely perfect , and they slip on like a dream. And they are so comfortable, you can run a marathon with them.

Super comfy for a tall stiletto!
" These Ciao Bella's peeptoes are fabulous. Very elegant, gorgeous side view. Extremely comfortable ergonomic footbed, especially for such a thin / tall stiletto -- I myself cannot normally walk on stilettos, but these Bella's made a believer out of me! I've worn them with wide leg dress slacks, skinny leg jeans, dress suits, even wore them at a wedding and stood up on them for hours without killing my legs.

No so Cunning!
" Not the best boot on the block for sure. The leather is not high quality and the finishing touches are not good. The opening is too wide for an ankle boot with a side zipper closure, so the boots don't look good if you wear them with cropped pants or skirts/dresses. Good idea but not well executed, unfortunately. I wouldn't recommend these to a friend.

" Excellent no-nonsense tall rain / snow boot! Super comfy. A little longer and a little wider, so you can wear it with a thick sock or insulating boot sleeve. Really nice looking too! I've already bought three pairs of these (the color selection is great, so I couldn't resist it).

Matisse Rules!
" These Coconuts are fantastic -- good looking and comfortable, excellent for running around all day long. The measurements given in the listing are slightly off -- the calf circumference is given as 13 inches, while it is up to an inch and a half larger. For people like me who have no calves to speak of such a mistake really makes a big difference. I had to return the boots because they were way too wide for me. But they truly are fabulous! :((
