Great Boots!!
" I love these boots! They do run a half size small, I got a half size up from my normal size and it was perfect. (manufacturer site actually reccommends a half size bigger) I got them in black and the material is great looking (love that they are vegan suede not real!) and I really like the height of the shaft - they are not over the knee (I don't know why dsw even says that...the manufacturer site and other places I've seen them don't call them over the knee, they're not meant to be) but they are nice and tall and hit just below the knee. I have very skinny calves and have just a tad of room left in the calf area but it's not floppy or gaping looking (although I might pin them to be narrower when paired with leggings just for no gap, i like that the style allows for it). I never, ever wear heels and am a big heel whimp and while they're no slippers, they are quite comfortable for heels and I've worn them for long works days while being on my feet all day and was fine. I've walked in them on ice (carefully!) and been fine - they could possible use some yak tracks for traction on severe ice but they are definitely not extra-slippery like some shoe soles. I have already received tons of compliments. "

not a cold weather boot for me
" Did not like these at all. They are stiff soled and don't flex at all which makes them uncomfortable and the soles are not the sturdy traction that they appear to be in the pictures - more of a hard slick plastic, not convinced they would be good on ice, they seem slippery, and due to lack of flex it feels like they'd be dangerous on ice. Didn't seem warm either and they are so hard on the inside that the balls of my feet hurt right away. Tried putting insoles in which helped but it was hard to find insoles that would even fit inside so it was a limited solution. Plus they look cheap. Way too expensive for the quality. They're going back. "
