Recommended with reservations
" I bought these because I've always been told that New Balance shoes are comfortable. I work in a hospital and I walk and/or stand basically the entire shift. I don't recommend these for prolonged walking or standing. See how the back of the sole doesn't touch the ground? I feel like I have to fold my feet higher to take a step. It takes some getting used to and they definitely feel different than other shoes.

Way too narrow... not recommended
" I really like this item. The problem with this item is the width. My feet are already narrow as it is but these pair are so narrow that you can only wear stockings with them; regular or even thin socks won't work. Sadly, I returned this.

Zipper in back too loud
" I had hoped these were going to work out. 2 things that I, personally, didn't like are the sound the zipper in the back makes when you walk and that I can't tighten it around the ankles. The zipper thing is more annoying, really. So if you can stand a thump-thump-thump of the zipper, I can recommend these.

Way too wide
" These boots are really nice. They are over the knee for me. I am 5'6 and wear an 8 1/2. The problem I had with these is that they are so wide on the calves that I thought I accidentally bought the "wide width" option. But I didn't. They are so wide that after I put them on, they fell back down. I'm really disappointed. These went back to the store.

Will not recommend
" I've had Brooks before and I thought they are all true to size. Not this one! I already have narrow feet but these are still tight. You can't wear thicker socks with these either. So if: 1) you have very narrow feet, and 2) your own feet are not true to size, then these are for you. My recommendation, move on.

" I am a size 8.5 and that's what I bought. My toes are literally just up against the top. These runs short and narrow too. The pair tapers toward the toes and it gets really tight there. You cannot wear thick socks. The shoes also curves toward the front. They may be comfortable when you first wear them but I assure you, they can't be worn for a long time.

" I don't know what's with these pair. There is no support for the arch at all. I was really excited to get these in the mail. When I put them on and stood up to walk, I lost my balance immediately. These are a definite fail for Skechers.
