Great looking but anything but functional
" I really wanted to like these shoes...but couldn't. They look great, feel great, but fit horribly. Specifically, the shoes run ridiculously narrow, with the sides of the shoes grinding into your feet with every step. I've never experienced this problem with any other pair of shoes I've ever owned.
I wish I could say this is unique to this shoe...but it's clearly a widespread Nike Cross Trainer problem. I verified this with 3 other Nike Cross Trainer styles on hand...likewise with sales staff who talked me into a different brand. "

Snazzy, but a bit rigid and stain-friendly
" It's hard not to like the retro feel of this homage to Converse All-Stars, with bright canvas colors, and a clever cross-color hatch. I received several compliments wearing these, so I'm clearly not alone in my affinity for their aesthetics. :) Moroever, the build on these are quite good, with nice stitching, interiors, likewise seeming durability of the rubber base.
With this being said, the wear on these is very rigid, not for the feint of foot looking for some sole support. I strongly recommend a pair of orthotics (gel or otherwise) to ease the pain. Also, this is a canvas shoe through and through. It will be loose, run a bit long, and not provide close support.
Purely cosmetic point: the bottoms, front are white rubber and apt to stain/muddy quickly. While they clean up quite well with soap and water, these will not stay white for long...especially the white bottoms which serve as remnants of roads travelled.
If you're willing to invest in a pair of insoles, some intermediate washing, these are eye-catcher, solidly priced casual kicks. "
