Practical professional shoe
" The first day I wore these, I gave a 3 hour presentation where I was walking all over the room the entire time. My feet still felt great at the end! The heel is nice and sturdy, the padded footbed is a nice plus, the toe area is "tall" enough that the top of my toe doesn't hit. But the shoe still manages to look sleek and professional. They paired nicely with my slim ankle-length suit pants.
On fit: They fit narrower through the midfoot than most shoes. This is a plus for me, but could be a problem for some. They are roomy in the forefoot though - so can accommodate an average to wide foot in that area.
Main minus: My feet felt sweaty by the end of the day. These shoes don't breath as well as some of my other work shoes. (I got the black suede.) That's why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars.

Runs short and wide, but nice-looking
" I'm usually an 8.5 B or 9 A, so European size 39 shoes usually fit me perfectly. These, in a 39, were significantly too short and too wide for me. I would have needed at least a 39.5, possibly a 40, for the right length, and the shoes were already too wide at a 39. If they fit you though (so maybe if you have average width or slightly wide feet, and order a half size up for length), they will probably look great. The gold line is really nice, as is the cut on the top of the bootie.
