Nice boots but not what I hoped for
" I purchased these boots in the grey, size 7.5 (my typical shoe size) because I wanted a dressier pair of grey boots for my wardrobe but also wanted something that I could occasionally wear with jeans. I like the look of them. They seem a little wide and long in the foot but are comfortable enough with socks. The material on the shaft seems thin and paper-like in a cheap way. I've not had any issues with the material tearing or discoloring, it just feels cheap to me. Regardless I still liked the style and it originally seemed to fit my need. Unfortunately, I have smaller calves and these just crumple down into a "slouch"-type boot when I wear them. I could cinch up the bows at the top to make them stay up better but it gives and odd puckered look. I've still been able to wear these with jeans and sweater dresses and they look nice but they are definitely not what I'd hoped for. I've kept them as they do wear well but not as a knee-length boot for me.

Love these shoes!

" First...how can you not love the color (more of an ox-blood than red) and the vintage-y style?! I get so may "Hey, cute shoes!" when I wear these. The heel, being thicker, is supportive and high enough to be dressy. So great with jeans or skirts. The quality is nice. Even the embellishment material is sturdy. I love the velvety laces. I do have to take a little extra time to retie them so the velvety part is seen on the bows.
Second...SO COMFORTABLE! I ordered my usual size (7.5) and they seem to fit my feet very well. I've worn them both to work and some evenings out and my feet have never suffered pain in the forms of pressure, rubbing, or blisters and this included the first few wearings. I've only encountered one other pair of shoes like that (also purchased from DSW) so this pair is definitely one of my better purchases. "

Good Boots
" These fit my calves rather well. My calves are small and I can zip up the "decorative" zippers a bit. I like the zippers on the sides and I think they look better unzipped...just for aesthetics. I normally get a size 7.5 in boots which is what I purchased for these. The size fits as expected...just fine. The only thing that bothers me is one boot rubs on my ankle...which is odd as I have tiny ankles. I hope it's just a "new boot" thing and it will break in soon. I found these to be quite comfortable.

Great Shoes
" The great reviews are right on. I bought the black/white pair. They were comfortable right out of the box. They look great casual or dressy and I never cease to get compliments on them. I'm seriously considering buying the brown/black option as well.
