BEST.BOOTS.EVER!!!
" i am SO happy with these gorgeous boots! i usually struggle with even, "wide calf" boots. i have to squeeze into them. i could just slip my leg into these!!! I WAS SHOCKED! this never happens to me! they are not loose though. they are very fitted. the leather is very smooth and luxurious too! these are my 3rd pair of audrey brooke wide calf boots, and i'm so grateful for their products! they are sleek and sexy, "to boot" :) i no longer have to envy those with slim calves, b/c i have fabulous boots now too! thank you dsw and audrey brooke! oh, i bought half a size up like i always do for boots. they are comfy for heels.

great for wide calves!
" yup, they fit my wide calves that most wide calve boots don't fit! i have a pair of cognac riding boots by Audrey Brooke from a couple of years ago that i absolutely love, and these did not disappoint either! i ordered a half size up from my usual 6.5 like i always do with boots. small foot + big calf = hard to find boots that fit! anyway, i do prefer zip up styles that are purely for wide calves over the elastic back that these boots have, but other than that, no complaints! wore them straight out of the box and did a lot of walking that night to at a local xmas light park, and my feet did not hurt! i also have a wider foot and my pinky toes often get smashed in new shoes, but i did not have that problem with these. very elegant, practical, and well made! will be looking forward to more audrey brooke boots for wide calves!

GET THEM!
" these boots are cute, comfy, and highly functional! they already feel broken in (the heal isn't even stiff) and the cushion is really good. They are also very warm! I recently wore these to Monterey/Carmel (it was pretty cold) right out of the box and not only are they water proof, they completely kept the sand out. while others were taking off their socks and shoes to dump the sand out, all I had to do was dust my pants off. Also, i have wide calves and I am able to zip these up easily. they are also very light. I can't say enough about these boots! I wish I lived near the snow so i could test them out there too, but if they keep water and sand out...i'm guessing they'll be fine in the snow too? i took a pair of asics to change into if the boots weren't comfortable from all the walking, but i never took them out of the trunk! i normally wear 6.5, but i got these in 7 and they fit well! like others have said, go up half a size and you'll have plenty of room to wear thick socks. ^__^

small feet +wide calves=BAD
" cute boots, great quality. got the last pair in my size 6.5, but will be returning them. i usually get half a size up even with wide calf boots, but given the reviews on the foot part being longer, i just got my normal size. i'm convinced the 7 would have been a tad bit wider in the calf area, and boy do i need it! really had a hard time zipping them up with my massive calves. i thought about keeping them, but they really would have cut off circulation. maybe they would have stretched if i wore them for awhile in the house. thought about exchanging them for a 7, but the foot part is already big. they are really lovely though. too bad for me :(

disappointed
" i took a chance on these despite the previous reviews and am here to confirm that these are not a true wide calf boot. i could manage the stiffness people mentioned if i could actually wear them. it's too bad since they look great! if your calf is around 16" or smaller maybe they will fit...they do not fit my calves but i have a hard time even with most wider calf boots anyways. hope they work out better for you!

classy and chic
" i hadn't heard of audrey brooke until recently and have made a couple of purchases through dsw of course, and i absolutely love the brand! this pump is so classy and sophisticated but still sassy and sexy. the previous reviews are so right! there is not slip and they fit perfectly. the are comfortable: very true to size. i'm going to try to dress these down for casual wear because i don't want them to be just a work shoe! i'm very impressed with this brand!

FITS WIDE CALVES!
" I AM SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THESE LOVELY BOOTS! they are so sleek and sexy, and THEY FIT MY WIDE CALVES! this boot should definitely be in the fits wider calves section. i was just browsing and came across them. i clicked on them to admire them since boots like these NEVER fit my calves, and i was surprised to see they had elastic that goes almost all the way down the back. still, i didn't want to get my hopes up although i do have another pair of over the knee boots from last season from a different brand that had the same elastic style and they fit. i bought a back up those babies! anyhoo, these boots are awesome! i never thought i could own a pair of boots like these! even most wide calf boots don't fit me. i can barely zip up boots that other wide calf ladies say they have extra room in. if you have wide calves and have always wanted a slick pair of stiletto suede boots, don't miss out on these!

" i had a pair of these in 1982 when i was 4 in pink. i've been eyeing all the different colors for awhile, and these are the ones i HAD to have! they run long...probably half a size at, but they run kind of narrow-what i mean by that is that the laces are super short when i loosen them up enough to fit comfortably. my only complaint is that the top part looks slightly uneven which really does bother me. thinking about taking them in store to exchange them.

rainbow brite!
" got these in the mail today and THEY ARE AWESOME! i agree with the mork and mindy reference...but they also remind me of my rainbow brite doll. either way they are fabulous and i'm glad i got them before they ran out of my size! i am normally a 6.5 and i got the 7. i think i may have been able to get away with a 6. also, i have wide calves and these stretch almost like the end of sleeves on a sweat shirt so i was able to zip them up. SUPER HAPPY with these :D

nice but
" this boot looks true to pic. the color is lovely (cognac) and just what i had been looking for, and they even fit my wide calves; however, I returned them because i have very wide calves but small ankles. the boot bunched around my ankles and were very smooth around my calves so they looked really weird. it's not an issue with the shoe at all! it's my darn gianormous calves and tiny ankles that are the problem. hope you other gals have better luck!

" I had been eyeing these for awhile. They sold out pretty fast when they first came out, and I was sad I missed out. Thankfully they were restocked! Coincidentally, I went in store today to find them ON THE CLEARANCE RACK!!! After the discounts and some coupons I had i picked them up for less than $20!! The BEST part is, not only do they look fabulous, but they are true to size and comfy!!! my feet do not even slip out at all when i walk, which almost ALWAYS happens to me. don't get me wrong, my feet aren't narrow or anything...i just think it's the way shoes are made these days. i'm very happy with these. would have bought them at full price anyways.

" so funny that i was just thinking, "ugh" while logging on here to write a review only to see the previous reviewer had already written it. i agree 100% with what the previous review says. it's really a shame these are not true wide calf boots because they are HOT!!! i am SO sad!!!!!!!!! the foot portion is a bit narrow, but i ordered a half size up and that part is fine. i was sooooo excited to get these and my expectations were crushed.

" My husband LOVES these shoes! he loves that they are padded mids and that he doesn't have to tie them. they are also very trendy and go with everything. he loved them so much, we got them in another shade of grey and blue (which seems sold out now) and recently picked up the black/red pair as well. they are true to size. we always get a half size up for converse. very happy dsw carries these since we haven't seem them anywhere else ;)

not for wide calves
" obviously, these aren't labeled for wide calves, so perhaps i'm being harsh. normally, boots that are 10 inches or lower fit me cause they hit right before my calf starts, so i didn't think my calves would be an issue, but these hit around 1/3 of the way up my calf. i was so sad! i got them in grey but will be returning them. if they fit, i could tell they'd be a winter staple. they are super cute and cozy and seem to be very good quality. i almost kept them even though the zipper wouldn't go up...but i'm hoping they'll come out with some for gals with wider calves like me :)

too narrow
" i wanted to love these since i've been looking for a mary jane like this for a long time, but unfortunately these will be going back. the material looks kind of cheap to me even though it says they are suede, but the worst part is they are very narrow. i ordered my normal size 6.5 and i felt like my pinky toes were getting crushed. i just imagined those horrible disfigured feet you see when women wear shoes that are too tight. perhaps ordering a half size up would solve this issue. they just weren't cute enough for me to try a different size.
