Love these boots!
" I bought these boots last fall in the Cognac color. They fit perfectly in the calf for me, and they are a bit looser in the ankle but I don't mind - I don't like the ankle to be stiff. The color is beautiful! It is a rich, true cognac. I have worn them for long stretches at a time, sometimes walking a little shy of 3 miles total at an easy pace, and they have been comfortable.
The boot is high quality as well; it held up all fall and winter and there's only a little light scuffing on the toe from use. Granted, I do live in Texas so "winter" is a relative term! I did wear them while visiting Colorado in winter - they survived the snow and ice on the ground and some cold, light wind. I did find that if I wore thicker wool socks, the boot was a bit tight at the toe but not too bad.
I love them so much that this year I will be buying them again in black! "
