Light and Comfy
" I'm pretty picky about sneakers because I don't like them to be too big and bulky or too heavy. For awhile I was wearing track shoes for the lightness but they were too narrow.
These are PERFECT. They're very lightweight, extremely roomy (I have slightly wider feet, but the shoes make my feet look narrow), and supportive enough for my waitressing job or exercising. AND they're super cute. Would recommend 10/10. "

Awkward
" These shoes are really cute, but they're sort of engineered awkwardly. I had to buy them bigger than I would have liked because the leather buckle didn't have enough holes/wasn't long enough. That meant there was extra sole behind my heel and in front of my toes, but my foot still felt squeezed between the thong and the sling of the sandal braid.
Moreover, the junction/seam where the sandal braid meeds with the side straps to hold it to the sole bulges just enough to rub my foot really wrong when I walk. It may need more breaking in, but overall is just a pain--literally. "

Versatile, Needs Breaking In
" I had bought a pair of the taupe patent SM Heaven Flats before, and went through the whole breaking in process with these. You will get blisters on your heels, you will get blisters on the sides of your feet near your pinky toes, you will get awkward lines on the top of your foot from where the leather does not give.
The black nonpatent leather is much stiffer than the patent leather so it takes more breaking in, but they are very versatile and totally worth the price. They can take a beating and don't fall apart easily. "

Break 'em In
" These shoes are very cute--but I've had some trouble with Rock&Candy shoes in the past. They have these grommets on the sides of the shoes that rub my pinkie toes a something fierce. I could never quite break them in on my other Rock&Candy flats (I ended up getting those sticky round inserts in the DSW check out line) to cover the grommets.
Otherwise, they're very cute. I will say they look a little rounder at the toe than, say Sperry's, but they are still cute for the price. Also, I am an 8.5 and I always have to wear 9s for Rock&Candy
A warning: the soles tend to wear out quickly on all Rock&Candy flats and the insides are pretty fragile--DO NOT wash in the washing machine. My last pair of flats just about disintegrated; turns out, half of the sole is cardboard-like material. "

Beware of Nylon Slippage
" After reading all of the reviews, I thought it would be okay to wear these shoes to an interview without having broken them in--I was wearing your average Joe nylons and my feet slipped SO BAD within the shoes in the 6 blocks I had to walk to the interview and from the subway that I ended up with six miserable blisters: two on the back of my heels from where I was trying to get my feet to stay in the shoe, two on the balls of my foot, and two on my fourth toes from my feet sliding. My feet are average size--8.5, and not particularly wide, so it was definitely the shoe engineering, NOT my feet.
These shoes are adorable, classic, and stylish, but because of how short the toes are, heel liners and shoe inserts are a MUST. "
