Sooo Hot!
" These shoes are so hot. Beautiful from every angle. Because of the platform at the foot-bed the heel is very comfortable. I gave it a "more comfy" rating because when I think very comfy I think shearling booties or athletic wear...but no one does a really comfortable high heel better than Guess. Other reviewer's said these ran small, I found them spot on perfect. In fact these were the last 9.5 and I really struggled if I should lose out on them and risk ordering a size up. So glad I ordered true to size and got my last 9.5 because they are perfect. The color is a saturated cognac brown, one color missing in my vast shoe collection. It is a shoe that has a retro vibe, but is absolutely modern. It is going to go well with skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans rolled up, summer dress to a knit winter dress. Very happy with them.

Awesome
" In trying to find a pair of WEDGE booties, and failing, I found that booties can run big. I usually wear a 9.5 and needed a 9 in these VC bootie otherwise, they were perfect, awesome and so totally HOT! Thank you DSW 800#, so mad I can't remember the rep's name, for finding my size 9 that the store didn't have, giving me my $30 off and shipping two day for the extra hassle of having to return the 8.5 I bought at the store because my feet were going to wear these shoes even if it was going to hurt in the wrong size, that is how much I loved them, and I don't even like peep toe booties? These are going to look great with short skirts, skinny jeans, boot cut or slacks.

Best fitting shoe
" I exchanged the Audrey Brooke Cindy Wedge Bootie in 9.5 for these. The Grace Bootie is definitely a specific style, a man's oxford style bootie (lace up). If that is what you are looking for then I would definitely recommend it. The toe box does narrow, so if you have wide feet, or a wide toe box I would recommend going up a half size or trying on at the store for fit. My feet run slightly narrow, no bunions etc so for me this shoe in my normal 9.5 was like a glove and because of the lace up it was perfect. They are well made, no ripples or glue in the footbed. The upper is a nice quality leather and the heel appears to be nicely made and attached. I didn't feel any discomfort in my footbed when trying them on. The only con is that in my opinion these are a fall/winter shoe perfect for tights with a skirt/jumper, any style men's dressing (slacks, trouser jeans, wide leg etc...) I can see with skinny jeans if you are doing a blazer on top. I guess what I am saying is don't think you will pair with a BoHo peasant dress, or shorts just too heavy a look. If your are looking for a men's style heel I would recommend.

Dissappointed
" I purchased a pair of Audrey Brooks heel booties in 2014 Suede Taupe with python trim. They were fantastic, fit, quality, looks and comfort. I could kick myself for not ordering another pair right then in black. So, here I am in 2015 looking for a black wedge bootie, affordable, and I can't find any at DSW except this one. The foot-bed was poorly assembled. You could feel ripples in the lining and glue around the whole rim of the lining. Hint ladies, always run your hand around the inside of your new shoes to feel for defects. Sad that the quality of this manufacturer changed in one year. The upper had a consistent and good appearance, as did the heel, however I was looking for an attractive shoe. This shoe looked more like a boot on, than a bootie. From the side it looked more stylish, but head-on definitely utilitarian boot style. As for comfort, there is no platform at the foot, the weight was not at the ball of my feet which was good, but I did feel it at my calf just trying them on which meant it wasn't balanced right. I have some 5" Guess and Madden shoes but because of how the arch is balanced I can run around without "feeling" it. I exchanged for a men's style oxford bootie, but still looking for a black wedge bootie and hoping DSW will start getting them in. Come on folks fall styles should be pouring in and Wedge suede booties are all the rage and you are supposed to be affordable so keeping at the $75-99 price point for a bootie isn't too much to ask.

pretty but huge
" The print is very pretty. But the shaft is very wide, the boot runs large and wide, and the shaft is short not a normal tall boot. Because of the wide and short shaft it is not worth ordering in a smaller size and that is why I would not recommend to a friend. If you are petite with a large calf this is your boot.
