lovely and comfortable
" This is a lovely pair of dress sandals.
The color "gold" is a bit more champagne than gold, but that's what I was looking for so it could blend in more seamlessly with the length of my legs. I like the satin finish champagne color on my light-medium skintone, because it's not necessarily flat - nor is it starkly nude or shiny like nude patent pumps/heels, and it's more toned down than straight-up metallic yellow-gold or silver.
I usually don't like the look of obvious platforms - they look clunkier to me than single-soled heels - but they definitely add to the comfort of these heels. The straps and rhinestones are a beautiful touch that make the overall dress sandals look more elegant and evening-appropriate.
Also, often strappy heels will dig into your toe area, but these were fairly comfortable. I walked over half a mile in them from our hotel to the club, and were able to dance for a good couple hours. Although I did switch into my portable flats at the end of the night for the walk back from the club, my feet weren't DYING like they sometimes are after maybe only an hour in other heels. I probably could've lasted another half hour to an hour in them. It helps that the straps aren't too thin. Thicker straps keep your feet in the sandals better, rather than letting your feet slide forward and put more pressure onto the balls of your feet.
